Katz Art

Andrew John Katz is a watercolor artist and educator who lives and works on Maryland's Eastern Shore. He received both his BFA and MAT degrees from theMaryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, where he majored in General Fine Arts and Art Education. 

Over the past 20 years, Andrew has been active in the visual arts community throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Inspired by the work of Edward Hopper, Joseph Cornell, Keith Haring, and Nick Bantock. Katz focuses on the visual relationships that straddle realism and abstraction simultaneously. His love of watercolor, its techniques and its versatility, enables him to render crisp and rich subjects while crafting dynamic compositions. 

In 2013, Andrew created and designed promotional materials for MCA DAY in Brooklyn, NY, and became the curator of www.publicenemy.com. In his role for Public Enemy, Andrew is responsible for development of content for www.publicenemy.com website; editing and modifying existing content and working with contributors to gather material and publishing. Key tasks include: writing short articles, selecting and editing images, locating videos and connecting copy to current trends and news for the band.
